Wahoo Fitness

The Wahoo Fitness app is specially designed to bring Wahoo Fitness hardware sensors in contact with mobile devices.

The app supports most Bluetooth 4,0+ compliant Android devices running Android version 5,1 or newer.

Nota: as Android devices vary widely, compatibility cannot be assured for all devices matching this description. Please download and install the Wahoo Fitness app from the Google Play Store before purchasing a Wahoo Fitness product to ensure compatibility.

Summary / Home Page

The Home Page functions as the launchpad for all workout related activity and displays a summary for the period of the previous 4 weeks. The summary outlines the number of workouts performed, distance travelled and time spent during workout sessions.

When the Wahoo Fitness app is opened for the first time, a wizard will step through the process of pairing a sensor, setting up as a user and getting the first workout started.

The menu of options from the Home Page are as follows:

  • Top menu from left to right: History, Saved Devices, Profiles.
  • Settings button: User details, Heart rate training, Sharing, Info+Help.
  • Workout menu: Workout selector, New Workout, Edit Workout Settings

Saved Devices

Saved Devices

The Saved Devices icon will display the Saved Devices menu, listing all sensors that have been paired with your device. From this screen you can review or modify the settings for a given paired sensor, add a new sensor, shop for additional sensors, remove (forget) saved sensors.

The following Wahoo Fitness sensors are currently available:

  • KICKR - indoor cycling trainer
  • TICKR - heart rate monitor
  • TICKR Run - heart rate monitor
  • TICKR X - heart rate monitor
  • RFLKT - bike computer
  • RFLTK+ - bike computer
  • RPM - cadence sensor
  • Blue SC - speed and cadence sensor

Adding a New Sensor/Pairing your device to the Wahoo Fitness app (more specific information is included with each sensor device):

  1. Descarga la aplicación Wahoo Fitness desde Google Play Store.

  3. Wake up your sensor device.
  4. Select "Saved Devices” in the top right corner (located between the History and the Profiles buttons).
  5. Select the plus "+” icon to search for a sensor.

NOTA: Always use the app to pair your sensor device unless otherwise advised. To prevent connection issues, do not allow the device to look for a sensor or pair from the general settings function when enabling Bluetooth. Simply turn on the Bluetooth function and open the app to continue with the pairing process.

Adjusting the Settings for your Sensor:

  1. Selecciona “Sensores” en la esquina inferior izquierda.
  2. Select the sensor you wish to review. The following information will be displayed:
    1. Forget Device: Select to delete the saved sensor pairing to the Wahoo Fitness app.
    2. Information from the sensor (if connected).
    3. Active Workout profiles: Select this option to turn on/off profiles for this sensor.
    4. Display configurations, tutorials and other information applicable to that sensor.
  3. When done reviewing the settings, use the Back button to exit the menus and return to the Home Screen.

Shop for Sensors:

  • 1. Selecciona “Dispositivos guardados” en la esquina superior derecha.
  • Select the Shopping Cart icon in the top right corner. Use this option to shop the online Wahoo store for more fitness products and sensors compatible with the Wahoo Fitness app.


The Profiles list will contain a range of generic workout profiles to get you started. Click on an existing generic profile to edit it, or use the plus "+” icon to select a more specific template.

How to Create a New Workout Profile:

  1. Select the plus "+”.
  2. Select a template for the workout profile you wish to create.
  3. Select the created workout from the profile list.
  4. Give the profile a custom name or retain the default name.
  5. Select which sensors you wish to link to this profile.
  6. Select which data sources you wish to use (if there are multiple sensors).
  7. Select if cadence data should be recorded (if there is a linked cadence sensor).
  8. Select where Elevation data should be drawn from (GPS or other sensor).
  9. Select which kind of workout page should be linked to this profile.
  10. Select RFLKT configuration and edit if required (see RFLKT & RFLKT+).
  11. Select what Audio Announcements should be played, and when.
  12. Select what the Double Tap function should be set to (see TICKR Run & TICKR X).
  13. Use the Back button to exit the menus and return to the Home Screen

Editing an Existing Workout Profile:

  • Name: Enter a preferred name for your workout in this text field.
  • Linked Devices: Will show the sensor(s) linked to this workout, select the icon to select/deselect additional sensors if required.
  • Data Sources: Will show the sensors linked to this workout and what data they will provide. This will appear as a list if an alternative sensor may be used. Select the icon to select/deselect which sensor is to be used if required.
    • Speed & Distance: Toggle on/off if GPS data should be recorded for this workout.
    • Cadencia: Select which sensor should be used to record cadence data.
    • Elevation (RFLKT+ sensor or GPS): Toggle on/off if Altimeter data should be recorded for this workout.
  • Páginas: Will display the range of pages currently associated with this workout profile.
    • Workout Pages: Select "Edit page configurations” to modify the pages displayed during a workout. Use the plus "+” icon in the top right to add additional pages to the workout.
    • RFLKT configuration: Select "Edit custom configurations” to modify the pages displayed on the RFLKT during a workout. Use the plus "+” icon in the top right to add additional pages to the workout (see RFLKT Configuration).
  • Audio Announcements: Select what Audio Announcements should be played, and when.
  • TICKR Double Tap: Select the Double Tap function (see TICKR Run or TICKR X users).
  • RFKLT Configuration (RFKLT & RFKLT+ only): Will display the range of pages currently associated with the RFLKT device and other details specific to this device.
    • Páginas:
      • Use the plus “+” icon at the centre right to add additional pages to the workout.
      • Select a page to open the "Change Page” menu. From this menu:
        • Reselect a page to display from the list of preconfigured screens.
        • Select a cell to edit/replace with preferred data as per the menu options.
        • Delete the page.
        • Move the page down the list of screens.
    • Popups:
      • Use the Popups function to add new Popups with a specific trigger. Click on the popup to either reselect a preconfigured screen or to edit and select a trigger from the list.
    • Default Buttons:
      • Select the Buttons menu to see what function has been assigned to each but-ton or to reconfigure the buttons on the RFKLT/RFKLT+ as per the options available.
    • Settings:
      • Select the Settings menu to modify how the backlight on the RFLKT/RFLKT+ functions, enable auto scrolling or invert the colours
  • TICKR Double Tap (TICKR Run & TICKR X only): Will enable the function assigned to the TICKR double tap as per the options available.
    • Start & Pause Workout
    • Start & Lap Workout
    • Start & Pause Music
    • Start & Skip Music
    • Ninguno

How to Delete a Workout Profile:

  1. Select and hold down the profile you wish to delete. The profile icon will change to a tick.
  2. Delete by selecting the trash can icon in the top right corner.
  3. Confirm using the "Delete” button, which will appear as a popup window


The Summary/Home Page enables new Workouts to be initiated and recorded.

To Start a New Workout:

  • To Pause your Workout: Once a workout has started, the green “Start” button will change to become a red “Pause” button. Use this button to pause the workout at any time or to finish your workout.

To Start a New Lap:

The black “Lap” button located at the bottom left corner of the screen will initiate a new lap. Tap once to begin a new lap & a summary of the previous lap results will be displayed. This will dismiss automatically after 5 seconds, or you can dismiss the results early by selecting “Dismiss” at the bottom of the window.

View/Manage Sensors:

Select the Sensor icon from the top right corner of the screen to view the menu of sensors that are linked to this workout type. Any that are currently active will display their signal strength on the far right next to the Bluetooth icon. Select the Sensor icon again to hide the menu.


Select the music icon from the top right corner to select music during your workout.

To Finish a Workout:

Select the red “Pause” button from the bottom right side of the screen. Once paused, the red “Stop” button will replace the “Lap” button on the bottom left side of the screen. Select “Stop” and you will be prompted to stop (exit) or cancel to return to your workout. The summary of your workout will now be displayed. Select “Workout details” or use the Back button to exit. Use the “Share” button to export your workout to another app. To view the workout again, or view another, return to the History menu to peruse all stored workouts.



The Menu button will display the Settings menu, where you can edit user attributes, access heart rate training, modify app sharing and access help and information about the app or sensor device.

User details:

Enter your personal details to enable the calculation of fitness metrics like heart rate zones and calorie burn. This information is private and intended for personal use only. It will not be viewed, sold or shared.

Heart Rate Training (for use with a heart rate monitor):

Want to share your workout information with another app? Login and authorise to enable. Additionally, each authorised item can be de-authorised as required.


    From this menu you can access the following:
  • What’s new in : Displays information regarding changes to the current version.
  • About Wahoo Fitness: Displays Version information for the Wahoo Fitness app.
  • Support website: Opens the Wahoo Support portal, where a range of Frequently Asked Questions and Knowledge Base articles will be available. Additionally, you may submit or manage an existing request for support.
  • Send support email: Opens the mail client and attaches relevant specifications and a user log to help us better manage your query.
  • Debug mode: Toggle on/off to enable detailed logging for reporting issues to Wahoo. Will reset the next time the app is started.


The History icon will display all recorded workouts in reverse chronological order. From this screen you can review a completed workout, export it, share it with another app or delete it.

To review a completed workout:

  1. Select the workout you wish to review from the list.
  2. Scroll through the workout to view the various information recorded for that workout.
    • If your workout has GPS data, select to view the map in more detail.
    • If your workout has heart rate data, you can set your Burn and Burst numbers here if you wish.
    • If you want to export your data or share it with another app select the Sharing icon in the top right corner. (More below)
    • Use the Pencil icon in the top right corner if you wish to edit the workout name, change the workout profile or delete the workout.
  3. When finished, exit the workout and select "Workout history” in the top left corner or use the Back button to exit the History menu

To delete a completed workout:

  1. Select and hold down the workout you wish to delete.
  2. A pop up window will appear with the option to "Rename" or "Delete Forever"
  3. Tap on "Delete Forever" to remove the workout from the Wahoo Fitness App

To share or export a workout to another app:

  1. Select a workout from the History menu.
  2. Select the share icon in the top right corner.
  3. Select "Configure Sharing” to select an authorised app to export to. Use the plus "+” icon to access the list of apps & if it is unauthorised, tap the icon and follow the login prompts to enable sharing of information with this app.

Use the Wahoo Utility app to test your hardware for connectivity issues:

  1. Descarga la aplicación Wahoo Utility desde Google Play Store.
  2. Abre la aplicación Wahoo Utility.
  3. Wake up the sensor you wish to test for connectivity.
  4. Ahora Wahoo Utility intentará conectarse con el sensor. Make sure you have Blue-tooth turned on. "Discover Devices” will display on your device while searching.
  5. The Wahoo Utility should now connect to your sensor & display information regard-ing sensor data and the firmware version to confirm connectivity.
  6. Cierra la aplicación Wahoo Utility para desconectar cuando termine de realizar las pruebas.
